introduction

Mathematics Level 1

This set of resources is ideal for anyone who needs a Maths Level 1 Functional Skills pass. That might be a must-pass element of an apprenticeship - or simply to give you a key numeracy qualification.

This course includes scenarios specific to Mathematics, plus a free bonus of 14 extra scenarios that include aspects of all 3 Functional Skills subjects.

Before you sign up for this course, you may want to check out our courses that include Maths, English and ICT at Level 1 as this will be cheaper than signing up for each individually.

The materials in our Mathematics Level 1 course are exactly the same as those used by Functional Skills teachers and learners in hundreds of schools, colleges and training providers across the country.

MyGuroo makes them available to individual learners to help you develop and practise your Functional Skills. Perfect for Functional Skills revision at home.

As with every MyGuroo course, Mathematics Level 1 includes a number of different real-life scenarios that cover different Functional Skills. (see them here.)

Why? Because Functional Skills is all about being able to use your skills in any situation - the exam could be about anything!

So the more you practise, the more "functional" you become. That's where MyGuroo comes in to help you prepare for your Functional Skills exams...

Every scenario includes a mixture of different resources to build your skills. These include:

Videos and podcasts to introduce the scenario and reinforce the key skills and terminology you will be using.

Interactive tasks that practise your skills - and give you feedback on how best to tackle them in the exams. If you are studying at home - it's like having your own Functional Skills home tutor!

Paper versions of all the tasks for you to download and complete for extra practise.

Quizzes that will give you an instant idea of how your skills are developing.

My Functional Skills™ tracks your growing confidence and helps you identify any gaps in your skills.
